Down on the beachfront at Ho'okipa Beach. The elongated outcrop of basalt in the foreground acts as a natural breakwater, providing some protection against the strong surf that would otherwise scour the beach of all its white sand. It also forms some very nice tidepools for those not inclined to surf.
