The World's Longest Surfboard Fence (according to Guinness' Book of World Records, supposedly) circles more than half of the Ka’ohu Farms property in Pe'ahi, north Maui. It's a collection of more than 400 used boards belonging to DJ Detloff, a long-time Maui surfer.
A close-up view of the World's Longest Surfboard Fence in Pe'ahi, north Maui. It's actually a collection of more than 400 used boards belonging to "DJ" Detloff, a long-time Maui surfer.

DJ has used quite a few of the boards himself. Many were donated by neighbors, and some just showed up in his driveway with no explanation. More than a few were fished out of the Makawao landfill.
