Mammee Apple (Mammea americana), Hana Maui Botanical Garden. Distantly related to the mango, the fruit has a woody rind and sweet, pear-like flesh. Note the large, glossy leaves. Introduced in the 1800's, it is not very common in the Hawaiian Islands.
