Welcome to my photo galleries. My subject matter includes the beaches, mountains, and rain forests of Maui; what I loosely refer to as "Island Culture", and the natural history of the island. The most popular galleries are about Maui's plant life..
Speaking of which, recently I started a blog about the plant life of Maui and the Hawaiian Islands. It's called THE MAUI PLANT CHRONICLES. It is a blend of scientific content and easy reading. It includes more overtly technical and scientific content than this website; there's a bit more verbiage accompanying my photographs, but this blog is NOT meant to be a scholarly work... I'm just indulging my "Inner Scientist." I hope some of my Smugmug visitors will also stop by to view the blog.

The MAPS of Maui you see at the beginning of each of the "regional" galleries are intended to clarify what I mean when I use phrases like "west Maui", "east Maui, "south Maui.", and "north Maui."

I know that there's nothing "Hawaiian" about the "My Travels Before Digital Cameras" gallery, but it has a place on this site: It contains photos of all the places I looked at and "tried out" before I finally settled on Maui.
